Create a personal, custom-designed pregnancy announcement card for a close friend’s first child.
The answer
I designed a hand-lettered pregnancy announcement card for my friends’ daughter, Anneliese, honoring a family name and aiming to make the piece feel both personal and elegant. The custom typography and illustration were crafted to celebrate the moment in a thoughtful, intimate way.
I'm a senior graphic designer with a love for typography, hand lettering, and creating work that's both thoughtful and well-crafted. I'm drawn to projects that blend strategy with creativity, whether that's building brand identities, designing experiences, or finding the small details that make an idea memorable.
I also teach typography and branding at Miami Ad School, where I get to help emerging designers develop their ideas and find confidence in their creative process. Watching students grow into their own style is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
Outside of design, you'll usually find me with a book in hand. I read 100 books in 2025, which is probably less impressive when you factor in my inability to leave a bookstore empty-handed. I'm endlessly curious, and that curiosity shows up in everything I do, from design and teaching to chasing down a new hobby or staying up far too late for one more chapter.
