The ask
Redesign Kate Chopin’s A Pair of Silk Stockings and Other Short Stories as a contemporary visual system that reflects its themes and literary context.
The answer
I reimagined Chopin’s collection through a modern design lens, drawing inspiration from Lester Beall and American Modernism. The visual system explores themes of longing, emptiness, and internal chaos present in her stories about women constrained by societal expectations.

I’m a senior graphic designer obsessed with typography, hand lettering, and the kind of creative problem-solving that keeps you thinking long after you’ve closed your laptop. I love making work that feels both thoughtful and beautiful, where good design actually has something to say.
I also teach at Miami Ad School, where I focus on storytelling through typography and branding. Helping young designers find their voice is easily one of the most fun parts of my job.
When I’m not designing, I’m probably reading. A lot. I hit 100 books in 2025, which says less about discipline and more about my inability to stop buying books. Curiosity tends to run my life, whether I’m building brands, teaching students, or staying up way too late finishing “just one more chapter.”
